Hard Being Napolean
Monday, October 31st, 2005 | | No Comments
Well, not really. However, keeping those luscious locks curly does some damage. I was rinsing and repeating like no other this morning, to get out all the hair spray that was used out. I think I washed away about half of my hair. Lets just say, conditioner is your friend.

Thoughts

I could recap what I have been upto the past week or so, but I dont think that is where I want ghostmanonthird.com to go. I had planed on expressing my thoughts, but as I read back, Im to scared and just simply tell what has been happening, as if by some magical talent everyone can figure out what Im thinking.
So…
First off, just cause your walking does not make you better then people that are driving. “Im not polluting, Im not spending money on gas”, “therefor I get the right away, no matter how long you have been waiting for us ‘walkers’ to get out of the way”. Its not hard to stop, take in the scenery and let a car go by. Maybe, take a step behind the car to signal, go ahead buddy. I dont care, just have some respect. They have to get somewhere too.
Second, knowing too much but not enough of something can be dangerous. I have seen this kid in lecture act like he knows every little secret in the world. He calls upon fancy equations and yet, he over complicates it and is wrong.
Bah, Im done for now.
PS. I saw my first opera this weekend. It was pretty good, sung in English, and thank goodness for the subtitles.
Yellowcard?
Monday, October 17th, 2005 | | No Comments
After about 6 months with out wanting to listen to anything Yellowcard, I gave them a try today. I forgot how much I liked them, and I am pretty excited for the concert at the Fox (two blocks away from me). So, I encourage everyone to go listen to there old CDs and see what happens.
Time is Flying

It feels like I just updated yesterday, but as I look back it was 6 days ago. The days are passing by way too fast. Its already tests week again. The 4 day “fall break” went by too fast and I didnt get near enough done.
Saturday night was some good old fashioned fun. Ashley and I went to a corn maze in the middle of no where. It was packed. A ton of people were there and it was a 20 min wait to get tickets to head in. The tickets were $10 for the usual maze or $20 for the haunted maze. We went for the $10 maze luckily, the haunted maze had about a 1-2 hour wait in line to get tractored out to it. The $10 maze was pretty cool. However, the bright moon and bright lights from the parking lot and “barn” area took the night time maze atmosphere away, not to mention the blaring music from the barn. It was still fun though. We enjoyed some hot apple cider from the barn then called it a night.

No not really. But thats about how the weekend went. Friday night started off with a bang, Ashley and I went and saw the CU big band play. There were pretty darn good, especially the bassist and tenor sax. I got to see them last year when they were in combos. So, now im a big fan. After that Vp and I headed out to Brock’s house for some good ol’ fashioned fun. It was fun to see some hold high school friends pop up out of now where.
Saturday night was delicious. Death Cab for Cutie and Youth Group were amazing at the fillmore. It was nice to go to a more mellow concert and be able to stand up close with out getting pushed and mauled by the pit. Ben Gibbert is a master mind.
PS I got the new Straylight Run EP, I highly suggest you dont. Its pretty different. There are 2 good songs on the 6 song cd. Im hoping for a better full length album soon.
Boulder Drivers

They are just plain horrible. I think its because they walk all the time and think they have the right away to everything. Now they get in a car and think they can do anything. Some car honked at me for stopping at a stop sign. Then continued to honk at me as the main street cars went by. I think its cause when they walk the just ignore the stop signs and hope for the best. Oh wells.
We won our intramural soccer game, its nice when everyone shows up to play. Next game Monday, we are going all the way.
Pick of the Month a Day Late
Sunday, October 2nd, 2005 | | No Comments
A new pick of the month is up, yes its a day late, but there are still 29 days to get the songs, so go get em. Our intermural team got rocked again Saturday. We could be good, if everyone would show up, but always playing down a man with no subs is a bit hard. Oh well. Go Donkeys.
