A Week Off
Thursday, August 31st, 2006 | | No Comments
A week off in more ways then one.
This entire week I have thought we were already in the month of September. As a consequence I did a week’s worth of homework without really knowing what I was doing, except for following book examples. The entire time I was wondering if I was supposed to know the material from a previous course. Well, I figured the right date out yesterday when no one else went to turn in a quiz.
So, now I’ve got the next week off. Hopefully I did the work right.
Crowded

So an all and all recap of yesterday: It was crowded
Besides not being able to skate anywhere because of the massive amount of people who don’t get out of the way as I come thundering down upon them, the first day of school was fantastic.
The first class of the day was a little sketchy as the professor just barreled into lecture notes. The worst and funniest part was the professor obviously loves the letter “u” and all forms of it. So, every constant was a either, µ ú ù û ü or other variations with different beginning and ending squiggly lines. It was fantastically confusing.
So, I guess today’s lesson is; 26 letters in the alphabet is clearly not enough for describing fluid dynamics.
Chaos

It seems like everyone has moved back to Boulder this morning. The streets are packed with people especially on the Hill. A few stragglers are moving in at the last minute. Mackey Auditorium is serenading the campus with its lovely bells. Hopefully the rain will let up a bit so we can go walk around campus and get some free food. If not, it might be a good time to invest in a fancy umbrella; one can never go wrong with a fancy umbrella. School starts Monday; it’s time to enjoy the final days of nothingness.
“A Big Death Cab for Cutie Video”
Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006 | | No Comments
So, before seeing Little Miss Sunshine at the local movie theatre we were introduced to an upcoming movie, The Science of Sleep. Ashley stated it’s, “It’s a big Death Cab video!!” And then to top it all off, they played a DCFC song at the very end. Needless to say, I am fairly excited to go see it. Check out some of the pic’s and the trailer.

Just spent the morning figuring out why image server was displaying broken 92×92 pictures. Apparently the image editing module was not compatible with my server. Took some testing but I finally found one that works. Deleted the 2006 album ( I added the faulty module for this album) and reloaded all the photos. So, enjoy the now fully functional photo album.
Settling Back In

The past week was a blast. Lake of the Ozarks, a little nighttime fun and relaxing with Vp and Kasey.
The lake trip was amazing. Pictures are up, go check them out.
I am still a bit sore from tubing. Ashley recommended that we go buy yahtzee, then a couple seconds later we decided we had about enough yahtzee for a whole year.
Sam came up Tuesday night and we headed to one of her friends birthday parties in Boulder. It was fairly exciting. Got to catch up with little Elle, some people call him Mike. He is living the high life at Notre Dame. Go Elle Go.
The next day was fairly quite. Vp and Kasey came over and the “girls” went shopping and movie watching. Vp and I enjoyed video games. Sam headed up late afternoon, and Vp and Kasey brought us all dinner. Ashley taught them how to play Euchre. A good night in.
Picturesque

It was yet another wonderful day at the Lake of The Ozarks. We fired up the pontoon boat and went tubing. Many pictures to come of Ashley and Sam hanging on for dear life as Dad whipped them around the corners.
It was the day of Yahtzee. So many games were played we had to start creating variations in the game rules. Lets just say it is not fun to try and fill from top to bottom on the score sheet.
Alot of time was spent on the deck sunbathing and swimming. Too much time, because we all have lake legs and it now feels like we are always on the dock.
After a magnificant BBQ, we loaded Grandpa and Grandma up into the pontoon boat and went for a twilight boat ride. Many pictures to come.
The night ended in a guys vs. girls pitch rematch. Dad and I took on Sam and Ashley. The boys were on a hot streak and the girls didnt stand a chance. A 54 - 17 outcome.
However, Ashley just stated that the girls dominated the last yahtzee game of the night. 2 vs 1 hardly seems fair.
At the Lake

Quick post after an eventful night of cards. The boys defended the pitch championship only too loose it in the next game. A tie breaking game might be played tomorrow.
We are on target for a 3 bunt cake vacation. Its going to be rough, but I think we can do it.
Besides the food and cards the lake has been magnifcant. Today was a little rough out on the dock as the big boats raced up and down the lake. However, the water has been just the right temperature for swimming.
Tomorrow is ribs and maybe some boating.
A Quick Touchdown

A day off.
The weekend was full of excitement. Well, Sunday night was. Vp decided to head down to Littleton and upon being aware of this knowledge we were faced with a question. What do we want to do? Sam, Ashley and I brainstormed up some ideas and presented them to Vp. Either, putt putt, bowling or a movie. None of us could decide what to do, so Kasey (Vp’s girlfriend) said, “Lets do them all.” So we did.
We got an early start on putt putt at Colorado Adventure Golf. About 8 holes in it started to drizzle, then a fantastic thunderstorm hit. We had to hide on hole 12 in a mock up cave. After about 20 minutes with no let down in the storm, we decided to run for it and head bowling. It was wet.
Bowling was fun. But as luck would have it, right as we got to the bowling alley, the rain stopped. We looked a bit weird going bowling completely soaked. Luckily Vp had a bag of brand new socks for all of us to indulge in.
After two games of bowling we headed to the King Soopers to stock up on candy and refreshments for the movie. A 10 for 10 sale blew all of our minds. After everybody got 2 boxes of candy, Ashley asked, “Do we really need all this?” There was a stern reply, “YES!!”
The movies were a bust because the local movie theatre only had 3 employees working in the building and they could not handle the massive amount of people showing up to a 10 pm movie on a Sunday night. We got about half way through the ticket line and realized our movie started 15 minutes ago. We retreated to the Blockbuster to pick up V for Vendetta. As luck would have it, we got the last copy in the shop.
Back to home base. The movie was as good as I had remembered it.
Monday: Death Cab for Cutie Concert, need I say more?
An amazing Littleton visit has by all. Not to mention amazing ribs.

Ghostmanonthird.com went down yesterday, I forgot to renew the hosting service. Luckily I decided to check my other other email and figured out why it was down.
So here it is, ghostmanonthird.com year 3. Its gonna be a good year.
Not much else is happening the magical world of me. Plowing through books, playing some video games and getting excited for a little lake vacation that is coming up. I’ll leave you all with a little teaser.
